
Barcelona star Lionel Messi has broken down a record for 54 years and put his new record into being a player who scored more goals in one league with one club.
Messi has succeeded in breaking down the record held by the former Bayern Munich star Gerd Muller, last night for a fourth goal in a 4-2 goal win against Barcelona against Real Sociedad.
After closing last, Messi has scored 366 goals with one of the goals that he has ever played in the club, becoming the most striking player in five of the best European clubs in one club.
Gerd Muller was holding 365 goals as a player of the Bayern Munich club in 1964 and 1979.
Muller scored 365 goals in the 427 matches of the German Premier League Bundesliga and Messi has scored 366 goals in 401 matches for Barcelona in La Liga.
In the record, Messi has scored 288 goals on the left leg, 64 right leg, 13 with a head-on-hand screw on June 09, 2007 against Espanyol.
